I would have thought that uncataloged items would be different then what you would find in the regular catalog.  If one of these 400Es were a different never before done color, it would have sparked my interest.

I'm in for the 11- 30146 Caboose and another 11-30147 boxcar I hope the box car comes on 500 series trucks as shown. The caboose looks quite nice in my opinion.

Orange and black, cadet blue, cream and red...  Those would be pretty interesting.

I'm a little tweaked!

I purchased the Lionel Celebration Series 400E (11-1008-1) in an attempt to collect the Standard Gauge pieces of this series, and now here is basically the same engine! (except this time it has brass trim, and not nickel).

Also, the 217 caboose looks the same as the Celebration Series 11-30064.

Of course, not as tweaked as a guy who paid $250,000 for a set.  But it's all relative.  $900 to me is probably the same as $250,000 to him!

You're right Sunrise!  That makes it even more annoying!

Reproductions will never hurt the value of high end stuff and will only flatter the owner of the original.

The LL caboose maybe one with Brass trim and one with Nickel trim.

There could be internal accounting reasons to change the SKU number on some of this stuff.

I would love to get a proto 2 381e but doesn't 899.95 seem high for a single motor electric, would wait for a 408e then for the same price, what a bummer.

BTW both my PS-1 and 2 381s are weighted and pull 5 State Cars easily. More if they had traction tires.

I have the Lionel classics green state set with the 381e and three cars and was looking to see what I could do to pull the cars better.

You could add weight. Change to a wheelset from MTH with traction tires. Just put traction tires on your wheelset. Try that Bullfrog snot.

Can motors pull so much better than traditional.

Rumor(At York) has it that MTH will be reproducing Boucher.Wow! That would be something for standard gauge nuts.I've seen the Boucher Blue Comet 4-6-2 Pacific and it was very realistic looking for tinplete.
