I have a MTH Z-1000 that has an odd quirk. The plug from the transformer brick to the controller doesn't seem to fit properly. The plug makes a connection, but does not fit completely (leaves some silver showing). Has anyone else noticed this, or do I have a defective plug. I noticed in the instruction page three different devices can be plugged in, so I am wondering if the problem is coming from being a universal adapter connection. I have a LHS nearby, but wanted to check before I took it in.

Thanks,

Wonder why this obvious design flaw has not been corrected by now?

Most such plugs on other electronic devices I own have plugs that fit snugly ALL the way into the female socket!

As confirmed above, my TWO Z-1000's have worked fine for years with the barrel of the plug sticking out.

NO MTH "bashing", just wondering.

I have years of service using my two Z1Ks and no problems. Excellent transformers. Correct the barrel plug doesn't totally go in but that is normal. Many moons ago I had at least one Z750 and it was the exact same way. One Z1K is 9 years old and the other is about 6 or so years old. Both are running strong still. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good, cheap, transformer.
