Hi everyone, Has anyone done a Multiple Unit using a Lionel Legacy Diesel with an MTH PS3 Diesel? If so, is it better to use the Legacy system or the DCS system to set it up? I have both so it doesn't matter to me.

My advice? Forget about it. IMO, ain't gonna' happen.
I see hours of frustration in your future with little chance of success. It's really unlikely that you'll be able to speed match them, not to mention you can't actually have an MU control configuration, you'd have to control them individually.
As a above they will not MU.
I have to run a TMCC and MTH engine together and the only way to make it work is to use 2 controllers TMCC and MTH and just carefully match the speeds and make sure one or the other is not spinning its wheels. For a train that is running continuously it seems possible to carefully adjust them to the right speeds and let them run. If you are looking to always run a pair of engines to pull a specific train then it is best to gt matching engines and systems. MTH engines really work well with different types matching speed very well.
Thanks guys, I don't need any more headaches!
I was hoping that it could be done with a computer on the new apps....someday maybe?
MTH controls speed in 1 scale MPH steps, Lionel steps are not consistent even from engine type to engine type.
I'm Not gonna even try.
