Always glad to help, but whatever happened to the design we were working in your thread from 2016? Would you prefer something more like this changed to fit 20' & 16' legs? If so, I can put something together and post it over there where we can carry in the discussion. Bear in mind though that I have no plans for industries or even buildings at this point, not that some can't be added later. It's also based on 60" wide benchwork on the ends and 30" around the "L" so I can reach things.
What about an expansion of the 1957 Lionel Layout to work this space. The width on the my old design became a problem along with reversing. Plus I think your latest layout and the Lionel version would give longer runs with elevation changes, also want to run multiple trains. Going to stick with Fastrack because of current investment.
You're going to have to refresh my memory when it comes to the 1957 Lionel Layout. I don't remember working on that, though I may not have known that's what it was.
Yes sir, It was my mistake, that was Ken-OScale who was working on that. Only problem there is it tends to be wide where yours remains narrow but can use wide turns. but would like some industry and yard area along with satation.
Elevations with tunnels, bridges and trestles are great.
It looks like you have about 24 feet of track in a tunnel. That seems like a lot of hidden track. Everyone likes tunnels, but having that much out of view in my small area would be too much. I don't have that much room, so it is hard to visualize.
But, inside, broad turns are hard to beat for train watching.

There hasn't been a version with tunnels since July 8. Back then, those were turned into a couple of over/under's and then just elevations of 3" and 5". That section has to be removable, so I decided to keep it simple while still providing some interest where trains could just pass each other at different elevations.
I like your layout.
Thanks, still waiting to start building. Hopefully that will begin in late April.
