My kids and grand kids have a box full of odds and ends scenery items, people, shacks, cars and more. They often build sub scenes in various areas of our layout. While I tend to call the different areas 1,2,3 etc., they have specific names like Vannyville, Bailyville and so on. Last night while cleaning track by hand I stumbled upon a crime scene.

Behind the dinner, near the cemetary was a body with a tightly twisted straw wrapper used to make a chalk line. There were policemen there and a roadblock on the small dirt road. A crowd of people had gathered but they were held back by a chain with the words "crime scene" written on a piece of scotch tape. It was quite a scene. I laughed hysterically and called my wife down. I left it untouched as I generally do.

Wedding scenes pop up in the country areas...they come up with great little scenes. Just wanted to share. It took a bit of teaching but I finally got them to stop tying bodies to the tracks.
