Everyone did a great job giving you recommendations.

Hopefully you come back a few times as it takes a lot of time to check out fantastic sights

As a kid I was blessed to grow up in Chicago and went to the museams usually for free or when they had a lot more "free Days"

I have a friend who is a Board of Trade Member and they would rent out the whole museam for a night once a year and WOW was that a treat.

I haven't seen the "new" restored U-505 I DID attend the 40th reunion party for the U-505 crew and the American Destroyer- I got autografhs of ALL that attended, it was a great night, the German crew members had tears in their eyes they were so impressed by the turn out and the respect shown to them.

I loved the old "O" gauge train layout the museam had and haven't seen the new one yet but when my wife took the kids my son Joey spent an hour and a half checking the trains out.

Unfortunately a lot have Hobby shops have closed their doors in the last few years but Chicagoland Hobbies still remains a great place for trains glad you made it!!
