Well done Spence!!!!!!!!

Drastic improvement. It's a nice station, I just wonder why Lionel didn't do those few extra things to really make it pop. Can't wait to see what other mods people do to theirs!
Hugh improvement! I think mine will have to get that upgrade.
Thanks for the post & pics.
Thanks Spence. I placed an order this afternoon.
Skip; you won't be disappointed. You can use 1 or as many as you want. Just cut the wires. I can't take credit for finding these however. It was Lee Willis
Spence:
That"s what I call A BIG improvement. The before and after pictures make a good comparison.
Thanks for starting this thread. Many have asked how to improve the lighting and your example will be of great help to those who bought this version of the GCT.
Thanks Spence, that looks terrific! Terry
Spence - would they operate using a z500 transformer for power?
Paul
I operate mine - about four buildings so far converted - on 12 VDC for an old N-scale power unit set to 10 volts or so, so that they are a bit dim. But they will work with AC or DC, and any voltage from about 7.5 to 14V although they get pretty bright above about 11V.
Spence...you made a very nice improvement!!
Alan
Why is the lighting BLUE?
Windows are blue in tint.
The before picture shows up as yellow-white.
The lights have a slightt blue tint when I use them: photos exaggerate it for some reason though. I like it - it makes their light a bit softer and more natural looking in person. Spence did a super job on adding them to Grand Central and showed just how much improvement can be made. It looks so much better.
Huge improvement! Thanks for the idea, it just made my project list.
Thank you all for the kind words.
I cannot find those on Amazon
Well done!
Peter
