Hi All

Finally after reading I think all the posts in reference to Test Stands I started. Of course between honey doo's this time of the year it was a wee bit long to complete.

Many thanks to members for the information. I copied everything I did on this project from previous threads about the subject. Like I painted by the numbers.

It is portable and a pre made cable plugs into my layout and allows me to control it with either the cab 1 or cab 2. That way I can address the main line TPC and fool with conventional , TMCC or Legacy engines.

The back flip up track lets me work with couplers and other vehicle remote functions . I can also just connect a simple transformer to the stand. I put LEDs on the tracks and next to the switches so I can tell if power is applied or not. And of course ya gota have amp and volt gauge. There is also a small area on the right side for oils, lubricants , rags ect.

I  disconnected those darn fastrack bumpers because to they have always been a PITA..... to me anyway. That's where some LED'S were installed.

Another  small cable that I can plug into the stand allows me to have a set of clips to test any other item right down to a light pole, building ect.

Then to beat all as I was getting ready to post this my good old UPS truck arrived from Nassau Hobby. My first engine to test tomorrow. A new Lionel #673 Clinchfield Challenger.

It just don't get much better.

Larry

Anytime John, shipping may make it impossible

86TA, I'm working on the boss for a GoPro

RA,  I just remember on da bay from china about a year ago. The amp meter is larger because I didn't want it more that 0 to 15 amps. The small one to match the volt meter was 0 to 25 amps.Lot of comments on the from from members suggesting no more that 15 amp meters. So that's what I went with.

I was surprised because they are metal not plastic housings. Not very expensive as I remember.
