I open the OGR forum and a banner what to me looked like from the administration for OGR . I hit teh bottom to acknowledge and understood I would not see teh info anymore if I did
AM I in trouble and need to take protective measures for my security!!!

The scam alert itself could have been a scam. In this case it wasn’t and OGR management confirmed it was from them so touching that button was okay.
thank-YOU .. because the post was taken down I had it happen once and If I had known I would of change all my passwords and would do it it again after being hacked once!

Did you read the notice/alert carefully? It answered all your questions, if you had.
why was the orgianl post taken down I would not of reposted if I was NOT worried
The original post was taken down because if you had READ THE ALERT FULLY and CAREFULLY, it answered all your questions.
Dan...had you read it carefully, it told you that you would see it one time once you confirmed by hitting the button. This kind of notice has to come from OGR since only admins can produce these. In fact, Rich Melvin who does IT for OGR and I had a conference about the scam this morning after one of our forum members contacted us with what had happened to him. I asked Rich to put this up so that hopefully others would not get scammed out of money like our member did.
