Day One:
I've been looking for these for a while and found a set darn near new. Arrived I tossed them on my small Z1000 powered loop, nothing moved.
Popped the shells off, added a couple drops of oil to both of the Pullmor's and back to the track. Movement!!
OK, these are TMCC, so I swap out the Z1000 for my CW80 and add my Legacy.
Per the manual I assigned both the powered and non-powered unit the same ID#.
Flip the switches to RUN and now the issues pop up.
1) I turn the speed on the Legacy to 16 - 18 before the engines even start to move.
2) The number boards on both units just flicker.
Day Two:
I did the 10 step Restore TMCC Functions...
Unit will operate in conventional, but using Legacy it will not move. Strangely, when I press almost any button with an icon on the Legacy I get the horn! At the same time pressing the horn or bell icons on the Legacy get nothing...
Day Three
OK, here's where we are this morning. (12-26)
Engine runs fine in conventional.
Switch to TMCC/Legacy and it's not happy.
A - It still won't move.
B - As I turn the dial on the remote the sounds change, no movement.
C - If I accidentally set the stall, does Restoring the TMCC features "reset" everything??
One more note: After running in conventional, I turn the power off and then connect the wire to the Legacy base. When I turn the transformer power back up the engine takes off. Turning off the power and then bringing it back up appears to take care of the situation.
I'm at a loss. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
