Need help installing WBB reversing board

Thanks guys, this is super helpful.  Len2, I'd like to use the connector so I can take the engine apart when needed, so I'll drop you an email.

Still waiting for the connector, but in the meantime I decided to test the board by temporarily connecting track power to the correct pins (5th and 6th down from the top, on the right, as Len2 said). Unfortunately this gives me a short circuit - is this just a bad board?

The top 4 pin connector should read down Blue, Black, Red and Yellow. The lower 4 pin should read Yellow, Red, Black and Blue. Yellow and blue wires are motor, red AC hot and black AC ground

That is the answer.  Len gave you bad info.  From the top it is pin 4 and 5; not 5 and 6.  G

That is absolutely correct - I tested the wires at those locations, and the board powers up just fine.  Now I can have a Happy New Year - thanks, and same to you all!
