After purfchasing an MTH # 50-1033 DCS Remote Commander, I discovered the manual had the comment that it would only work with PS2 3 volt locomotives. Unfortunately my engine is an older one equipped with ps2.0 but a 7-cell 8.4 volt battery. Since I opened the commander and can't return it - am I totally outta luck? Which remote do I need for my engine? What would happen if I tried running my engine with the MTH # 50-1033 DCS Remote Commander? WOULD I DAMAGE MY ENGINE OR WOULDN'T IT RUN AT ALL,  OR WOULD ONLY  SOME OF THE REMOTE'S FUNCTIONS WORK? I nee to rely on the expertise of this forum's members.

Thanks Barry for your heads up reply. Now I can enjoy using my new remote with no qualms or fears whatsoever.

Incidently, that's  quite an error for MTH to include in their Commander manual. (And, even as of today,  it's still on MTH's website.)
