Need Ideas For Transferring Liquids From Tank Car To Storage Tank

I googled and found some nice layout work with tanks and pipes.  Check these out to get your ideas going.

I've seen some like what you've shown, but the facility I have has 1 smallish tank on the "property" that holds fuel oil for their needs.

I would imagine an industry like this would need maybe 1 tank car per month, and a way to unload it.  I can't imagine unloading an 8,000-10,000 gal tank car by hand pump , just need a transfer pipe sticking out of the ground with a pump/motor/valve close by.

Does anyone offer plastic parts like those?

I also have a small oil facility on the layout (that's where the cars come from for the lumber industry fuel).  It was the old Walthers Phoenix Fuel Oil kit.

I was also thinking I could add standpipes at all my other industries and downtown buildings to give me a reason to spot a tank car in those places too.

Bob, Sprues from various kits.  Between the yellow reefer and the building are three standpipes to which hoses from tank cars or milk cars may be attached.  John
