Lionel set #6-51201 came with a ”dummy” knuckle coupler that connected the first passenger car #6-51202 to a tender that had a knuckle coupler. One of our guys obtained the set, but no ”dummy” knuckle coupler and no number on the one I have access to. Anyone know who would have the “dummy” coupler? Thanks in advance.

It does not show it in the set photo, just a drawbar, but did the latest MTH Tinplate Hiawatha have it as an optional piece? Hope someone with a Hiawatha can chime in.
I have that set also and don't think there was a dummy coupler included. I can double check and report back.

Hello, I found this thread and was curious if any new info may be available. I recently purchased a set of the 1990 Rail Chief passengers and they did not include a front coupler. I have looked a bit and have not found one in parts stores and was hopeful someone may have a part number or source. I'm willing to adapt something, but would like to find the right part if possible. Thanks, Geoff
MTH made them for Lionel and they had their own set as well. I ordered missing parts for my Lionel set from MTH. Contact Midge 410-381-2580
It might also help to post your query on the OGR Tinplate Forum.
Thanks to all. I will be giving MTH a call this week.
