Is that Texas of Virginia? There's a city named each of those in either place. If VA, you might try GGG, he's down your way.
go no the MTH web site and look under service. Enter your zip and find the nearest Authorized service center. I am in Front Royal.

I suspect Tiny Tim’s in Ashland can either fix it or send you in the correct direction.

Yes, but some guy shows up once a week and picks-up and then drops off. I prefer to have interaction with the one doing the repairs. I suspect he is not too far from me.

That would be the Commonwealth of Virginia!
GGG on the forum is very good, and reasonable charge. He’s south of Norfolk. Not exactly close, but Fed Ex able.
Front Royal is not that far from Ashland. Even in today's situation I still have contact with my customers. We phone or text, leave the items needing repairs in a designated, protected place and can be picked up or dropped of anytime.

A Howard Miller does repair work in your area. Someone who lives around Richmond or is a member of the VTC should be able to give you more contact details. That may be who Tiny Tim uses.
It would be helpful to describe what the issue with the engine is. Maybe its something that needs only a simple fix.

I'm in Fredericksburg and I also have to vote on GGG. Yes you probably won't meet him, but he's here in Virginia so shipping is super quick, he does great work, and communicates well.
GGG is the one.
Shoot me an email. My address is in my profile. I live in Midlothian and am the current President of River City 3 Railers. I'd also like to talk to you if you have any interest in joining a modular train club.
