Want to control switching via Legacy/TMCC and eliminate numerous controllers. My inventory consists of 3 PW Lionel 031 Switches and 25 Z1000 switch machines. All turnouts are wired for non-derailing. Also, there are several turnouts for crossovers that are wired to a single controller. This includes Ross/Z1000 and Lionel. I count these turnouts as 1 even though there are 2 Z1000's per crossover.
Per the Lionel video and the manuals, the SC2 should be used for Lionel switches and ASC for the Z1000. So to control 25 Z1000s I'll need 7 ASC's (maybe 6 if I eliminate a turnout) and 1 SC2 for the 3 Lionel switches.
Can the Z1000s be wired to the SC2? If yes it appears that I could save some money.
Any issues with the turnouts wired for nonderailing?
Any issues with 2 Z1000s wired to a single controller for theses crossover switches?
