Earlier this week I purchased a Nikon D5100 DSLR. This camera replaced a D3100 that I purchased about a year ago. The D3100 will be given to my granddaughter who will need it for her photography class next year.

This afternoon I had the opportunity to try the camera out. I visited Jim & Linda Quick and photographed their 18' X 31' "Red Pine Railroad". What a great layout and even greater hosts. While there Jim Elster, Scenic Express, and his wife, also came to visit. We had a great time watching the trains run, and had a great luncheon while talking about our favorite hobby.

The link to the photos I took can be found "here". Cursor down to the "What's New" box for the link.

Again a big thank you to Jim & Linda Quick for a great afternoon.

Do you know where he got the the railing that goes around the perimeter of the Union Station parking lot? I looked in the Scenic Express catalog and did not see it there.

Ed,

Not sure where he got them. I did ask him if he was on the forum because some members would like to ask him questions about the layout. He said that he does not use the forum.

I will ask him the next time I see him.
