I had the MTH MT-1105 N&W J as well. Size wise, they're the same. The Imperial is a significant improvement when it comes to the fine details.

Paul,

I have an Imperial N & W J #608 that I purchased in 2005. It was my first MTH Imperial Steamer. (my first MTH engine was a NYC Hudson that was not an imperial model). As you know, I have said many times that Railking Imperial engines are the best bargain in the hobby. A semiscale Premiere detailed engine at a Railking price.

I would recommend you buy one. Interestingly, the current list price of $459.00 is only $10 more than the list price of the one I bought 10 years ago.

Steve, I love a good salesperson and you certainly are one of the best. I'm still working on paying off the Mega Order of Atlas F Units I placed with you a couple months ago. (Santa Fe's and Amtrak)

Although a new Steamer has not been seen around here in years, the amount of Diesel engines and rolling stock has more than made up for the shortage.

Thanks Steve, I'll be in touch. All the best.

Paul
