What is needed for the single-door and double-door box cars are more types of doors to match the actual doors.
There can be numerous types of Plug-Doors made for the double-door box cars.
New injection molds have to be made so that there is a variety of accurately fitting doors for all the O scale box cars or boxcars.

The majority of items above don't require new tooling and were never offered yet by MTH. The new PS-1 would require minor changes to the door area. A couple other items require new tooling.
I stay away from non-scale - detailed Railking cars. Never could understand the point of them since there are so many other companies with 027 items flooding the market.

I prefer all updated diesels going forward with PS3. Don't like or ever seen the red PC scheme.
No interest in the others, but I sure do like the EJ&E car, sharp looking graphics!!! I could use some "other RR" names on my layout besides SAL and ACL.
I didn't have the patience to wait. I made my own.
Old RS-27 with PS-1. Upgraded with ERR Cruise Commander and Railsounds. It had the red logo. I didn't like it either. Removed the red logo and put white logos in their place. Weathered the crap out of it. I found out, after I was finished, that 2406 had the black dip scheme with no lettering or side logos. It would be easy to change the numbers and logos to create a custom scheme. I don't think any two RS-27 had the same paint scheme. Don't hold your breath waiting for MTH to re-release the PC scheme again. If they did, it would be Railking Scale.
I doubt that any of the manufacturers will ever produce a scale PC transfer caboose. Too limited in the selection of road names. If anybody does it will be MTH with various fantasy schemes. I built a N9 transfer caboose using the chassis from a 40' PS-1 boxcar. I figured that this is the only way I would ever see, or have one of these cars. I would gladly take a production N9 or N11 model if they were made.

I made just about everything that's never offered. I generally have a laugh when I see the OEM's copy my models years later.

Mark - I’m now convinced that we will never see most of this stuff. It indicates that the uninformed marketers and buyers seem to dominate the hobby. Offerings and trends continue to be discouraging with each new catalog.

Thar PRR Mallet is the ugliest locomotive I've seen in a long time. Pure and gritty railroading! Not sure everyone would appreciate it, but I like it.

What is missing are the Central Vermont modern 50' box cars. They were painted medium blue with white markings. The CV box cars were built by FMC.
I would buy the D&SL articulated, but there is only one of me. Nothing else pictured above elicits other than yawns. Since most would require new molds, horrors!, none of it will be ever offered.
MTH made a few premier MLB team boxcars. If they made all 30 teams, I'd but them all. Also, the MLB ALand NL SD90 engines that were prototyped but never made would be sweet to double head and pull all 30 team boxcars with. Maybe sell all as a set with a price discount. Premier line if course!
I like the 6222 and PE street car. I'm a sucker for portholes.
The PE would match the logo sticker on my old PE breaker box too, lol.

I would like to see a Western Maryland Potomac (4-8-4) in the Premier line. Some of the tooling already exists. Also a I-2 Western Maryland class I-2 Decapod (1111-1130).

PS: I'd buy the A-B 'babyface if MTH made. Use Alco FA chassis and trucks, tooling modification from Centipedes. Make in CNJ (3 different schemes blue/orange - green/yellow stripes and all green) - MoPac - NYC prototypical and then PRR , SAL, NdeM and UP fantasy (logical too)

Weaver did something strange with the Grand Trunk Western 40' double-door box car graphics.

All of Weavers graphics were undersized in later years printed by a local supplier. I alerted Joe but the issue was never resolved.
I never saw the Weaver Models Grand Trunk Western 40' double-door box cars in person, just the catalog approximate photos.
Did those GTW 40' dd box cars actually make it to production, or were they cancelled like so many other cars I was hoping to get from Weaver?
