I had to modify my track plan for the North Western Railroad slightly today after discovering that the Top Level had a bit too much overhand over the sides of the layout. I have posted pictures of my progress both on the forum and on my own website.

Specifications are -

Track - Lionel FasTrack

Control - DCS and Legacy with Z-4000 and 180 watt Powerhouse

Bottom Level 8x16 feet with two loops, a reverse loop and a yard. Outer loop is O-84 curves, inner is O-72 curves.

Top Level 11.5x6 feet and standing 10 inches above the bottom level with two loops. Outer loop is O-60 curves, inner loop is O-48 with one siding.

The theme of this layout is Northeastern Ohio with emphasis on the Nickel Plate Road, New York Central and Norfolk Southern. Top Level and yard will be representations of Cleveland. Bottom Level will have scenery found along the Water Level Route between Cleveland and Lorain, Ohio.

Let me know what you think!

And I see a solution to a problem I've run into with trying to design my layout.  Thanks!

Oh, and I'd flip the sliding son the bottom so that most of them go into the open area and the small double siding goes under the top layout (As in rotate the blue track 180 degrees.).  Siding are always fun to look at, and under the top loop will make them hard to see, and get at when cars come off of the track from being bumped too hard while switching.
