New up patch loco the gyro lights sometimes don't work. How do you turn them on or off. They did work and then quit.

A product number would be helpful. Also what is a gyro light?
product is 6-8435. The gyro light is the simulated oscillating head light.

If they are like the ones on the SD60M, hold down Aux2 until a new screen appears. The flashing roof light is turned on and off by selecting the buttons that would be 6 and 9. 6 turns it on, 9 turns it off. Remember that pressing Aux2 once turns off all the lights including the stobe. Be sure to hold Aux2 down until you see the new screen.

Guess I don't know what the oscillating head light is. The directions I gave you are for stobe lights on top of cab.

I think you are missing a number in the product number.

I see what your are talking about. The upper set of headlights blink. I would try the instructions I gave you to operate the blinking stobe lights on the UP SD60M.
I don't have an sd 60m. could you give me the instructions again, thanks bill.

Tried the aux 2 holding down and no new screen happened.

It isn't the screen that shows the engine numbers, it is more properly the keypad icons that will change. Sorry, I didn't make that clear. If I select any engine that I have entered into the remote (makes no difference what type of lighting effect they have) and hold down Aux2, keypad icons change from the ones that has the smoke icon to a new set that shows various kinds of lights. The engine does not have to have be powered up. I am using v1.61 on remote and v1.60 on the base.

These are the two icon sets. The first one you see if you press Aux2, the second one when you hold down Aux2.

I checked my version and I have 1.2 could that be the reason why I have no response to holding the aux 2 button?
I have 2 of these engines with the gyro lights in order to access the screen above you will need the newer version. The full moon and half moon icon is the one that controls the gyro lights, but I do have to say these lights are typically always on, so I would conduct a reset of the engine and if they do not come on I suspect there is something wrong with the board that controls these lights, and having access to the screen above probably will not help you.
Well I just successfully upgraded the base and cab to 1.60 and 1.61. Got the aux 2 extra icons and the mars light on was pushed to on and no change the upper lights still don't come on. Any one with ideas. they did look cool 2 days ago.
Well I talked to the master John and Hennings and he said probably a loose connection. I removed the shell and secured the connectors and I have lights. Thanks John.
