Hey guys,
Just wanted to drop by and say hey! I am a new member who has been out of the hobby for 20 years until last month. I decided I am going to build a layout around the wall in my office, through two closets, and into our guest room. I haven't had time to begin construction yet unfortunately as we are remodeling the house and my fiancé said I'm not allowed to start construction until all the other projects are completed XD.
The layout will have a Warbonnet Santa Fe ES44AC and Norfolk Southern GoRail SD60E leading a long intermodal train around the rooms. FasTrack is being used on the layout and curves will be O36 to hug the wall as much as possible. Two switches will allow the train to leave the office and run around the guest room and return as desired. There will be a nine foot long siding as well to park freight cars and a Union Pacific GP9 when not in use. Lionel Legacy will be controlling the layout so we can play with trains in either room.
Once construction begins, I will post pics as we progress. Any tips and tricks that you guys can share would be appreciated!
