Not sure if this goes here or not, but.....................
I want to email the link to a friend and suggest he sign up. However, when I view the page -
this one that I want to mail him - https://ogrforum.com/forums
I do not see a button marked Sign Up. Is there one, and it is not showing because I am logged in, and he will see it when he visits?
Or is there another procedure for him to follow to join and view the site?

It will work great. At the top of your page you have some grayed out boxes. When you're not signed in and for anyone clicking on the link you provided, one of the boxes says Join. Terry
Greg, YOU don't see the JOIN button because you are already signed in.
Your friend, who will NOT be signed in, WILL see the JOIN button.
Just as I posted in my question, I suspected as much.
