Horn and buzzer are indeed correct, but the buzzer you typically only heard at the beginning of a run, when the conductor (five cars back) signals the motorman that it's okay to go, or a single buzzer signaling the conductor not to open the doors (say if the motorman sees he' going to over-run a station platform)

MTh most likely inserted the buzzer sound into the PS3 bell slot for a lack of anything else to put there (since subway trains do not have bells--although work-train diesels do)
