Did you buy it brand new? If not, the previous owner must have recorded those sounds using that feature.  I have two Sd70 Ace's and they both have pretty much the same sounds. The one you have sounds a whole lot better.

The later Proto-2 units seem to have clearer crew talk.

Sounds and looks good i picked one up a couple of days ago love it mine is a ps2 and sounds just like yours.

What catalog was that particular one advertised ?

I have several of these engines and I'm happy with all of them.

I buy my NS then MTH releases the CSX afterwards.

The sounds are different from my NS.  They are great running trains.

I purchased the BNSF RTR SD70 Imperial Deluxe set when it came out in November 2010. A very nice set that spent a good amount of time looping the Christmas tree this year.

While I only have 1 SD70, a friend has 2 or 3 Railking Imperial SD70s and they all have different sounds in them not to mention they are also all different than mine. It seems like each time they release an Imperial SD70 they change the sound files in them. 

There have been several SD70ACe sound sets. They're almost unique to each engine. The UP Heritage units each had different sound sets. The demonstrator and the George Bush each had a different sound from the heritage units. It makes for an interesting variety when running them on the same layout in separate trains.

If you are still looking for the CSX, I have one.  I swapped it out of a starter set for an MP15.  It is brand new.
