I was driving by the Gang Mills Norfolk Southern yard today and got a real surprise: behind some other rolling stock was a recently painted NYC Pacemaker scheme box car! I couldn't see the reporting marks as I was going down the highway and there were some other rolling stock partially obscuring my view of the lower section of the car.
Has anyone else seen one of these? Or anyone know which railroad is doing these: CSX, NS? Some other short line? Maybe the Fingerlakes Railway out of Geneva? I was unaware of any NE railroads doing heritage schemes on rolling stock.
Well, still was a thrill to see that. Wish I could have caught a view of the car someplace else where I could have gotten a much better look at it.
