I picked up a ZW transformer.  Based on the box and instruction it has a 1948 date on it.

Plugged it in and checked voltages, all looks good.

Whistle is intermediate on one side and dead on the other.

Where can I get a parts list for this?  I cannot find anything on Olsen trains anymore?

Looks like I need:

Power Cord

Rollers (I have changed these on a KW before)

Correcting the whistle - should I go with a diode?

Circuit breaker, did not test this. Not sure how.  Should I just replace.

I will also be adding 10amp breakers to my power feeds to my track and accessories.

Any internal points to lube in it?

Suggestions on where to order parts?

This will be running a two track conventional setup.

thrudud,

Alco Fan is giving you some good advise, in fact if it were mine I would have them

restore it completely, we love old ZW's around here and might just pick up another one this coming year.  I beleive in over powering my layouts for expansion purposes.  Remember if you plan to run DCS, to invest in a set of 10 Amp breakers for each ZW you intend to use.  Old ZW & KW transformers are both still great power supplies, that can be restored to like new condition.
