Here is a older but beautifully done Super O layout that was built in 1992. I was doing a lot of repairs for local people back in the mid 90s and I did some maintenance work on several of the owners postwar engines about 20 years ago. A few weeks ago I received a phone call from the owners wife saying that he is not doing well physically and she wants to start getting rid of the trains. I went to look at the trains and it was nice to see the layout was still up !

That IS nice. Sorry to hear that the fellow isn't doing well.
Thank you for sharing Bob . . . Nice to see something from the past still retains its allure.
Very nice. Unfortunately from the o.p. it appears the layout will not be living too much longer.
Beautiful layout great to see a older layout still around I could spend a day photographing that layout shame it won't be around in time.
Sad. It is so obvious there is a ton of love and memories in that one.
Yes, how very sad.

I wonder what the overall size is, and, if it could be disassembled to move? If disassembly would be possible without too much destruction, it might easily find a new home.
Yes, a very nice layout. Even has some wide-radius super o curves plus some tubular with extra ties. Can't really get a good look at any switches but what I can see on one looks like a custom wide-radius curved branch.

The size is 8x16...to save that back end with minimal destruction would be a pretty big undertaking.
