Hi Joe....Nick has not been posting as often as he used to because of his move and involvement with his family in their business. I think he is in a stage like many of us went through when we were younger...."trains, Girls, Work, Trains". I think he is somewhere in that middle area!!...LOL!
By the way, I unlocked the thread....
Alan
Thank U!
Fashionably 7 months late to this one but nice to see someone on here still remembers me lol. Alan has me pegged as usual. For a long time I fought off the typical cycle most hobbyists go through and kept my activities going into my early 20s. But inevitably life caught up to me with work and getting my own place and a new car and a busier social life in general in Miami / South Florida. Trains and layouts have simply gotten lost in all that, will not have the time space or money for the foreseeable future. And so it goes, I'm just another one of those guys that's probably going to pick this all back up with a vengeance when the conditions are right for it again. Until then, I still lurk around the forums once in a while just to make sure the "bug" is still there. And it definitely is
My new baby obliterated anything resembling a train budget for a long, long time anyway....
Just have fun and remember to come back when you are ready!
Wait, R U the guy who outbid me on the GGD 1938 "C" set??? Urrggg! LOL.
Hey Nick - I remember you too!
Enjoyed 'talking' with you and the couple of good trades/deals we did as well. Good luck to you and God bless you!

Ya know I'm not sure I ever did get my hands on that 1938 C set. If I remember correctly I opted to sell my A & B sets before I got the chance to find the C. Sets A & B alone were already extremely heavy for the matching 3rd Rail Hudson and that Hudson was so finicky with needing adjustments to run smoothly anyway. Was all a bigger headache than it was worth in the end, but someone with more patience was very happy with them lol

Sam my man, great to hear from you! I also fondly remember all our interactions once upon a time. Wonder if you still have that nice Lionel Santa Fe U-Boat, I miss it
I wondered what happened to you as well. Your York shopping sprees were always an adventure I looked forward to seeing and hearing about ;-)
Great to see you chimed in Nick. That 200 is sweet!! If you are typical of many of us...when you come back to the hobby, some of us will be long gone cause we finally arrived at our last train stop.. Anyway, here is hoping that you have a great life and glad that I got to meet and break bread with you!!
All the Best,
Alan
