What I like about history is that there is always something surprising coming at you. Check out the vehicle below. Is it a trolley? a bus? I have never heard of the American Autocarrette Company, which made this vehicle for a streetcar company in Washington DC.
Would be cool if you had Superstreets to run it on.

In the weekly newspaper "Electricity" published Jan 10 1900, reported American Autocarrette purchasing $40,000 worth of machines, and one of its founders trying to start a similar business in New York state. So I guessing it is an electric vehicle.

It was electric. The company has a very short run. One of them caught fire and burned to the ground. Another was in an accident with a horse drawn carriage, and the company was pretty much sued out of existence.
This was at the dawn of the horseless carriage/automobile becoming a so called issue for cities and having to create regulations. There's a lot of very interesting reading out there. Google is your friend
Is that battery powered? It looks like it. There were various battery cars and vehicles in the 1900's. Wonder what my great aunt would have thought of Tesla? She was unthrilled to have her 1920's Detroit Electric poop out between the farm and the city.
I'm guessing battery powered, yes.
Battery technology was the main holdup back then, and to some extent it still is. That’s an interesting little critter, though.
