no 'REPLY' box opened

No replies are allowed on the for sale forum.  You can go in and edit your original post if you want to change/add info.

Thank you!!!  Obviously did not know that.

I never sold anything on the forum before and other than knowing that I had to post prices and pictures I didn't know any of the other rules.

So how to potential buyers let me know they are interested?  Is it strictly by email at that point

Walt, Correct. The idea is for potential buyers to communicate directly with the seller via email. That's why you will frequently see sellers mention, "...my email is in my profile..." in their for sale posts.

Back when replies were permitted some dishonest sellers were changing their ad to bump it to the top of the lists.....plus folks were having discussions...when the reply option was eliminated in the for sale ads,in my opinion, it's the single biggest improvement to this forum in recent times......for those who still have not caught on,include your email address in your ads.... also, looks like some folks ,some longtime members on here , are posting  several ads per day.....

If you are interested, there is a “sticky” post in the For Sale or Trade Forum, that lists the rules of the For Sale or Trade Forum.

It wasn't just the sellers... Buyers would reply, "I'll take it" and would not follow up with an email.  The honest seller would change it as pending or tell others someone else was first in line only to find the original buyer was the unscrupulous one.
