According to Charles Ro, there will not be any Lionel tpc units till May. Sure seems like a long time for one of their basic Lecagy pieces.

If you are really running strictly TMCC or Legacy, the TPC is largely redundant, superfluous, or unneeded.
I want to run a couple of convential engines , that is why I wanted a tpc.
Well, that is a problem. It would not make sense to get into a PM-1 and PowerMaster Bridge at this point if you don't have a CAB-1(just the PM-1 needed).
Have you tried any other retailers? You didn't specify which size but Nicholas Smith shows the 300 in stock, Trainworld website shows both in stock to name a few.
I like running my layout thru 5 different TPC. Easy access to turn power on/off to a track, as well as the ability to run conventional engines. In conventional the whistle/bell buttons even work.
