My PS-3 SD60 diesel will often not go through DCS startup when another engine is on the same track.  I get the "engine not on track" message.  When startup does occur and both engines are running, the DCS signal on the SD60 may disappear and it does not respond to any commands -- I can only stop it by shutting off power to the track.  I have gone through multiple factory resets and the TIU does add the engine back into the remote, but the startup problem occurs again.  It seems that the SD60 does startup when it is the only engine on that track.  When I check signal strength for the SD60 when it is running by itself, I get anywhere from a 7-10.  All other engines show a straight 10.  I tried to change the SD60 engine address from a "12" (assigned by the TIU) to a "22" but the problem keeps happening. Also, all my other PS-2 and PS-3 engines have no problems at all; I'm running DCS 4.30.

Do you get any other symptoms? Like stalling on switches? Does it go thru a full shut down if you kill the power when it's running? What version TIU do you have?

Maybe she has a weaker board. I have some that are pickier than others. I use those to test my track wiring.

Try putting that engine and at least one more that gives it issues on a test track. If you don't have the newer TIU L version, have a light bulb of decent draw connected to the track. If that works on the test track, than maybe your layout needs better tuning.

No.   No other symptoms.  Now, I also checked and it seems that if I start it up on its own isolated track and then and move it to a track occupied by another engine which has also started up, the SD60 often stops receiving DCS commands while the other engine continues to run perfectly.  I've never seen this before.
