H3 and the NPOG Gang,

Gonna try and sneak out for awhile on Saturday and make the trek down SW.

I haven't been to anything in quite awhile, not sure how long I can stay with the back. But at this point I am so stir crazy, and need something to take my mind off of the next procedure for my back and leg.

Bill (I will have this years dues with me and will give to H3 if I do not see you).

Also, GRJ, I will be picking up those items you were so nicely saving for me!

would like to thank north penn for a fine afternoon of train watching, could not believe how much trains and layout fit in the trainroom. just walls and walls of trains, very interesting double main track design. 2-3 trains running at once on each track, almost a few @#$%^&* but all was good. my oldest son was in reading heaven, I was so amazed at what I was looking at I forgot to take pictures. the level of detail was great, so many "scenes" all over the layout was just pure eyecandy.

the food........hot dogs with chili, kraut, cheese, onions toppings, sausage sandwich's, ham platter, cheese & cracker platter, ring bologna platter, veggie platter, chips, cookies, cup cakes, cake, soda, ocean spray juice, water. the spread was nice and if you left hungry it was your own fault.

wish we could of stayed longer, but it was worth the trip.

thank you....

It was nice to see Harry again, I missed seeing Gunrunner I left before he arrived.

The layout is beautiful, great detailing. The food was excellent.

I took photos with my iphone posting some of the photos. Notice the closeup of the yellow building, that is a replica of Hennings store.

Sorry I missed you Bob, but I was amused that the sharks were under the coaling tower fueling up, I wonder how that works?

Thanks all for coming, I got there around noon and drove home at 5:30.  IMO, the snow was much ado about nothing, it wasn't much slower for me than on a normal day.  The biggest danger was running into an idiot on the road that either takes you out or has an accident and ties up traffic.  By the time I was going back the roads were almost empty, and I zipped right along.

Thank you guys for coming to see us we had a great day!!

Pete it was nice to meet you and your son glade you both had fun.

Grag was nice to see you.

Bob thank you for the photos that you too. There great.glade to see you.

Dennis was glad to see you.

Thank you everyone for a great visit to the layout.  It was my first visit and I felt very welcome. Harry, thanks for opening your home. The food was great and the hospitality warm. It was good to meet fellow forum members at Harry's and at the breakfast earlier in the day. I look forward to doing it all again sometime.

I left just as the snow started, and other than traffic in Q-town I made it home to the Scranton area safely and in good time.

Regards,

Conductor Earl
