True enough Chris. The one thing I do like though about this scale/gauge is that repairs are quite possible so long as one has the right tools and the right amount of patience to use them. This past week and half, I have repaired or fixed various O scale/gauge locomotives for various people. I am always delighted when I can do this as this gives me joy.

Pete

I've done that one, on a newly purchased unit that I got at a bargain price. Like you say, not fun. Not really all that hard, just time consuming and tedious. You have to take half the bloody thing apart to get at the tires.

The up side is, the price I paid for the unit made the work worthwhile. It's one of my favorite engines.

works well for traction, although it doesn't hold up for too long on O gauge stuff. probably the weight as compared to HO
