The good news is that version 3.0.0 of the WIFI App on iOS fixed the horn problem with a TMCC diesel Lash-up.  In general I had no problems running trains tonight, two DCS and the lash-up with nothing going crazy and trying fly off the layout.  But when it came time to shut down, the TMCC Lash-up would not stop completely at a speed of ZERO  (the 6 o'clock position on the speed dial).  I had to move the pointer with the negative arrow to the 3 o'clock position to fully stop the consist.

So while the update propaganda said they added the DCS Explorer to the app, they didn't bother to report whatever else they did to it.  This is never helpful.  It's like they changed a bunch of stuff that they didn't tell us about for some reason.   Look, all software developers do it, but it would just be nice if some of them didn't.

Jim,

To what was the TMCC speed control set? Was it set to default, which is the big red wheel, without any markings? If so, it reacted just like a TMCC Cab-1 control with relative speed steps, without a zero or any other speed step. You just turn it backwards until it stops - just like the Cab-1.

If you want the lashup (or any TMCC engine) to behave like it does using a DCS Remote, use the Engine Settings screen to set the speed control mode to TMCC.

You might refrain from bashing MTH when it’s you who doesn’t understand how the app works.

Barry,

"To what was the TMCC speed control set?"  Mine was set at ""Default".   When I changed it to "TMCC32" it then worked perfectly.    Thanks for your help.

Now with regard to "E-Stop" in the App.   That is totally flakey.   When running my TMCC consist, pressing "E-Stop" at first does nothing.  Then pressing it again adds 10 speed steps, again adds 10 more.  I finally stop the trains by pressing "E-Stop" on the DCS remote.  Do you have any thoughts on that one?

I heard they were going to discontinue the DCS Remote.  I hope they don't do that before they fix "E-Stop".  New users would have to keep their power strips close by to manually E-Stop.

Jim
