Notification When Lionel Puts Out A New Catalog

i am certain they will start a countdown on their web site when it is imminent.

 

also, you could just monitor this space.  there will certainly be those paying attention here.

If recent history is an indicator, as Forrest has suggested, their website will have a countdown clock. Forrest is also correct that just following this Forum, will be just as good a reminder.

Don't worry.  Once it appears online or in print it will be announce here within seconds...

I guess my only concern would be if I'm away from the forum for a month or two then I might miss it.  And with a more than full time job and 4 kids still at home, there are plenty of reasons why I could have an extended absence.  

Well if you have these latest mobile phone devices, you still can check in here anywhere and at any time.

Just like the big boy shipping/receiving.... you'll know when that catalog is coming out just by pulling up the forum

You've already done the right thing by signing up for the e-newsletter.  They'll use the e-newsletter list to send an eblast when the catalog is online.  Don't worry that their last formal newsletter was in 2010.  They send informative emails much more frequently than that.

Stu - THANKS!   That was exactly the feedback I was looking for.  I was hoping the e-newsletter was the answer.  I just found the webpage will only 2010 e-newsletters listed as cautionary.  You gave me just the answer/confirmation I was looking for.

I generally prefer the "push" type of notification rather than the "pull."  For instance I love being able to post a forum question and know that I'll get an email when someone responds rather than having to keep coming back to check.   I like getting notifications pushed to my phone as a shipment makes it's way to me rather than having to go looking at UPS or FedEx's website to see where things are.

 

Browsing is great when time allows.  But some things you just want the notification to come to you so you don't miss it - even if you're otherwise too busy to check the O Gauge Forum or the Baseball Forum or the Tractor Forum or the Car Forum or the **** Forum.   

Yep, watch this space. You'll know.

- a handful of posters will be elated and rev up their credit cards.

yup, there will be a least 7 to 10 different new catalog posts!!
