Shellscale is helping us with the artwork. Anyone have info on exactly what the paint should be. Scott said the CP Maroon looks pretty close. I have guaranteed 5 cars and he has sent me a pick up notice. For all those that said they are interested please reconfirm immediately so I know exactly how many I have to pay for. Any not taken on this forum I will offer to NS. Please note if you want 3-rail as of this moment I am only ordering 2-rail. I'm not doing this as a dealer just a modeler that is trying to get something that went thru my farm and I think is beautiful.........I'm dome and caboose crazy!!!

Can these be ordered through Scott . Where is there another program to order these
As of last night Scott had no orders other than my guarantee so I am buying all of them to make sure they are done. I'm running it thru my American Lightweight Car Company. If you feel more comfortable with buying direct from Scott it's up to him if he wants to do that and reduce my number on order. I just want the things done and am sending him the funds this week.
Ken
I'm in for a 2 rail tell me when you need money
Just sent contact info give me the lowdown on the deal
VGN/Ken: Scalecoat N&W red is the new red and closer to NS than the purple CP color. Hope this helps.
Stephen
I have ordered one thru Caboose Stop Hobbies Merlyn/Trainguy) and he said my order was firm. Scott should have my order. (ordered 3/28/17) I am looking forward to these.

The way this works. VGN64 has guaranteed that 5 will be sold. That is the minimum. If VGN64 and one other person reserve one that is two and VGN64 is on the hook to pay for the other 3 (to make the minimum of 5). If VGN64 and 5 other people each reserve one (total 6) then VGN64 is on the hook only for the one (or more) he has personally reserved. The part that is a bit confusing is that you can reserve them either through Scott or VGN64. Please do NOT reserve them through both unless you intend to purchase one from each because 2 are being produced, one for each reservation.
Just curious, who owned this full length dome originally, i.e. prior to NS acquiring it?
Originally it was ATSF then a Conrail painted green.
As of last night Scott said my orders were the only ones showing so he sent me the pick up notice for all 5 cars plus my GN train. According to Scott he is shipping all 5 to me in one box thus saving me on the shipping as I have to pay to forward them on to whoever. If your dealer says they have one ordered I would double check with them as it's not showing in Scott's system.
Since our last discussion I have 2 other orders in 2R besides yours. One is Caboose Stop another is another dealer. I also have 4 other customers who ordered them in 3 Rail. I don't see any duplicates here. Scott
It was ATSF #55 then Conrail OCS#55 I would have jumped in if Conrail OCS was being done. But alas it's not so I just settled for the Amtrak.
I'm curious as to if this will be a spot on accurate model of the NS Delaware car, or a close look alike? If truly accurate, I might be interested, but I am just not familiar enough with Sunset cars to make a commitment right now. Any insights into the true accuracy of this car would help me out a lot. Also, what is the final cost on this car in 2 rail? Thanks......
The NS Delaware was originally an ATSF full dome then Conrail executive car #55. To my knowledge there were no window changes or structural changes to the car. Perhaps an antenna added or round TV antenna. Scott photographed my Midland Productions ATSF wrap in 2016 at the Chicago meet as he prepared for the Empire Builder. The GN full dome and ATSF full dome are different so Scott is doing two separate wraps. As far as the interior I am assuming he is doing them as coach seats so that would be the major difference between the Delaware and the model. Personally I am trying to find the interior layout so I can modify mine. I have a few pics but not much. The cost is $599 plus $20 shipping. For a brass car I think that is pretty good.
Ken:
A couple Tru-Color red/maroons you may look at for potential matches for the Norfolk Southern Business car: TCP-132 Soo Line Maroon and TCP-113 CP Tuscan. One of these should work for your project. I email Scott but not heard back.
Stephen
If I'm a little slow responding a dear friend suddenly died yesterday. I'm in shock and trying to do some things to help the family.
Ken
Hi Ken are you looking for another purchaser for your commitment to buy 5 cars/
Phil
TCP-132 Soo Line Maroon and TCP-113 CP Tuscan.
Thanks Stephan,
I'll be bringing one of these to the builder in 2 weeks.
