Has anybody built any of the NS SD40e's ? Where would be good place to get the parts if I built my self?

The SD40E is pretty much a derated SD50 so you can get either a MTH NS SD50 or a MTH Conrail SD50 and repaint and renumber it.
At only 3000hp, these units are slow up the hill. They will pull the tonnage, but, a lot slower than most other Hi-Ad units. They reminded me of an SD-35 compared to an SD-40. While rated at the same tonnage, when you got a set of SD-35's you knew you were in for a long grind up the mountain.
