Hey all, few months ago I started work on creating the New York, Ontario & Western's Mountaineer train, starting with 4-8-2 loco no. 405, while the loco isn't finished yet, I did start to get ideas regaurding the seven car consist for the locomotive to pull. The train consisted of a combine, four regular coaches, and two observation parlor cars. All were painted the matching maroon with orange stripes to go with the locomotive. Few months ago I aquired all the cars needed, all cars except the combine are old K-Line Madison cars, the combine being Lionel.

Nice! Ricky is a great guy to work with for decals.
Awesome project! JohnA
Time for an update, all the cars were disassembled, original lettering removed, primed and all were air brushed with scalscoat CP Tuscan red, then all were decals using Ricky Rupp's O&W mountaineer decals. Each car is numbered idividually to match the prototype , the four coaches #284#, 285, #289 #295, the combine #127, and observations #82 & #83. Theirs still a lot of work to do, so I'll post updates as I go along. The plans are to paint the interiors, make custom interiors with seats, new LED lighting, etc
