@New Haven Joe posted:These are photos of Alf Modine's 2RS C&NW layout taken at O Scale West in 2015. This layout occupied about 3/4 of a two car garage. A narrow walkway and a workbench filled the rest of the space. As best that I can remember, the trolley wire actually worked. You will see in some of the photos that the interurban crosses the mainline. Collisions happened unless the engineers were careful.
Sadly, Alf passed away a couple of years ago. I don't know if the layout still exists. NH Joe
Thanks New Haven Joe for posting the photos of Alf Modine's layout. He was such a nice guy!

CNW Modeler Volume 5, Issue #3 has the track plan. Surprisingly, the layout is not that large (for O scale 2-rail) at 17'6"x13'2". The work was impressive and incorporated light rail in the mix.
Scott just confirmed my E6 AA pair.
#5005A
#5005B (an A unit)
Can't wait!
Cars look good Will and you will like the engines. No E6's for me on this run, but there are a few that I would have liked.
Still have not moved forward on my set of 401 Cars, but hopefully I may start this year. I did see the cars and spoke to Eddy at the O Scale show and it seems the observation car is close to being finished.
Thanks for posting!
CNW gallery cars photographed by me on April 2 at the 2022 March Meet in Lombard, IL. The cars are O Scale 2 Rail. One car was complete with its sides, the other had its side removed to show the interior. I believe that one or both of these cars won an award. NH Joe

Thanks Charlie. I actually touch base with Eddy from time to time. I hope to be one of the very first customers to get their hands on an observation car once he perfects it. I think the Rockford O Scalers are 1st in line just ahead of me.
NH Joe, what a great looking detailed car. That's awesome. Thanks for Sharing.

I still have my three-rail Proto-1 versions of this unit, including 8636. I'm thinking about setting them up with the Rail-Pro control/sound module. I ended up getting a more modern pair later with scale wheels. This was the last pair I ran at Angels Gate and the first pair I ran at Paradise and Pacific.

One of these years I have to get back to the P&P and operate. The joys of a busy career and weekend work have kept me from being very active there.

I can relate. Still getting the house together after 18 months here. I still have about 90% of my trains in moving boxes.
Today project. Installed Atlas O red blinking light for caboose. Removed MTH factory non blinking light, drilled hole little enlarge, installed and soldered wires, assembled caboose together. Now exact like prototype C&NW! I have 5 kits to be install rest of C&NW cabooses.

Hey Andrew.
When were those released? I don't remember seeing them.
That group of Atlas O 40' AIRSLIDE was released almost a year ago.
Andrew
Happy Saturday! USPS delivered today. For me, first O scale 3 rail C628 with high nose by 3D printing. Ordered 3. They will replace Weaver and MTH shells with low noses. Re use chassis. Pictures show test fit. Plan paint them this fall/ winter time.
