It’s been a busy week and I don’t have much to write about, but here are some new releases. None of these are inexpensive, but they are high quality. The $5 to $10 models are slowly disappearing. It looks like for a quality model you will need to fork over $25.00 and up

Wow!  Thanks, Richard.  I just ordered the '73 Dodge - its close enough to the time and make that it will make a fine Adam-12 car - gotta add Reed and Malloy to my "detectives" on the layout. I've given up finding an exact match for one of their serie's cars (and with apologies to AMCDave it has to be a Chrysler product, not a Matador).

And so close and yet . . . a 1966 Dodge Dart.  One of the nicest cars I ever owned was a '67 Dart.  Oh, well.  I looked at the Pontiac, too, but this month's purse is empty now because while ordering the Dodge I happened on a 1964 Griffith 200 that I had to order.  Besides, doesn't the Pontiac look like its wheels and tires are a b it too big?

I have the White Box '56 Ford - recently ordered from Amazon, I think, which while not as detailed a some IXO models, is quite nice.  Castings - both metal and plastic, are identical on the $9.95 model from the Polish Amer Hobbies company you can shop at through Amazon, but paint, plastic quality, etc., is far below the White Box standard - paint is basically unacceptable as is.

That '37 V-16 Cadillac would not have been seen far from Park Avenue or Hollywood

and Vine.  I sure wish somebody would do a '37 LaSalle.  They seem to skip all

around that model, Brooklin doing the '34-'36 versions with the inferior Olds straight

eight after the 1933 Cadillac engine plant fire.  A 1937 LaSalle would be the second

thing I'd buy after I win the lottery.  Keep the model motor news coming...

Art a company named Durham made a 41 Chevy coupe. Here's an ebay # if you want to look 231044071307. I think a company named Western Models made a 57 Pontiac. Check Dominion Models he may have something.

I stopped in a Love's Truck stop on Thursday and they had 1/43 scale vehicles left over from Christmas on sale 50% off.  I picked up a New-Ray toys, City Cruiser collection, F250 pulling a Yamaha motorcycle on a trailer.  They had several other vehicles, but my boss was in a hurry and I couldn't shop much.  Not a bad purchase for $2.50

Sure not inexpensive, but Brooklin did a string of several years of Buicks.  With so

many Fords out there, I was hoping they would do a similar string of Chevrolets, but

not even Rextoy showed any Chevies in their fantasy catalog before they closed.  I would like a 1940, with the Pierce Arrow parking lights, out of the same similar mold as the 1941 desired above,  and others, in several body styles, like the Buick, as long as they have closed cars and not just convertibles.  One grandfather drove a '40 Chevy, the other a '40 Plymouth..both the once common two door coach...neither have

been made to my knowledge.

brooklyns are nice but too expensive

Diecast direct has that, IXO - $32.  You can also pre-order a green and white '56 Fairlane coupe (Vitesse) for $32 also. You can buy a dark green and cream taxi version of the IXo yellow and white car from Amazon for $10 - search for "1955 Havana" - its the same casting, rathermore poorly painted, from a supplier in Poland.
