Hopefully, now that Amtrak is building 130 new Viewliner cars, which in addition to 25 new sleepers includes 55 baggage cars, 25 diners, and 25 baggage/dorm cars, all intended to replace the remaining Heritage Fleet cars on trains into Penn Station, we'll be seeing Viewliners in O Scale from MTH/Premier or Lionel in the next few years. These additional cars have been a long time coming in 1:1 scale so hopefully their 1:48 counterparts don't take quite as long to materialize! Who else would like to see these in O Scale?

I rode the 1st or near first viewliner cars from NY to Maimi, I think around the 90's. I still have the little bag of goodies that they gave you. I met Graham Clator on the train. He was the president of Amtrak. He was also a TCA member.

Yes, please! Would Lionel, MTH or anybody make some Viewliners. 18" so they match the Lionel Amfleets. I been waiting years and I'm envious of N scalers with all the modern Amtrak choices from Kato and Bachmann.

Yes, please, someone make an 18" or scale 21" Amtrak Viewliner!! Some scale 21" Amfleet cars would be nice too!
