Just noticed that O Scale West is May 23-25, Thursday thru Saturday. I'm guessing that Friday would be the main day to visit the meet. Thursday would be a visit the layouts day, Saturday a get away day, with most exhibits folding up by noon. Does this sound about right? Your thoughts?

I live far away & don’t attend this show but I am curious about the popularity of this show if it ends on Saturday.
Has it always ended on Saturdays & are the hours limited like the former Indianapolis O-Scale show?
I live a few hours from the Indianapolis show but was never willing to use my vacation time to attend on Friday & the limited hours on Saturdays were a big turn-off.
I used to wonder if such shows were mainly for retirees and this topic motivated me to openly ask this question.
These are just my opinion,

Yes, we changed that this year. When we took over the show I asked why it had been a Friday/Saturday show and the answer, "it always was". This year we changed to Set up Friday and show Saturday/Sunday like the March Meet. Saturday, September 21 through Sunday, September 22,

RR-Guy - I am confused by your post above - "we changed that [Fri-Sat to Sat-Sun] this year" - but the Oscale west site sez May 23-25, which is Thurs-Sat??
Dan ie Railroad-Guy is referring to the Indianapolis show which he is the sponsor of and which is held in September. O Scale West is the show held in May.
I attended O Scale West for many years and hope to get back soon. I don't see the show packing out early Saturday as Friday will be mainly vendors and those there for the total show. Saturday will have those driving in for the day and many people from the local area that have to work on Friday. Some shows enforce no packing out till the doors are closed or lose their option to return the next year. Check with O Scale West to see what their rules are on vendors packing out early.
O Scale West is also the O Scale National this year and is combined with the S Scale and Narrow gauge meets and is Friday Saturday. Set up on Thursday evening. Vendors from the east coast/midwest do not want to stay Saturday night.
