My Milwaukee Road Observation car has a nice drumhead, but it's not lighted. Thought all I had to do was put an LED behind it and I would be off and running. However, a little detail gets in the way: the decal is not translucent; no light whatsoever gets thru. Interestingly, there is a hole in the bottom of the platform right below the back of the drumhead that would allow a small bulb and wiring to feed thru from inside the car. Same set up with my Daylight car. Both are Lionel.
So here's my problem: Tomar Industries has a drumhead kit for the Daylight, but none for the Milwaukee Road (or for "Hiawatha"). Are there any other drumhead suppliers?
Or is there an ingenious solution you know about and I don't?
