I was running my legacy SF GP9's when all of sudden they took off at top speed and nothing was controllable, red knob, stopping it, shut down or reset. After turning off the power and restarting everything was fine. This has never happened before. Any thoughts? BTW I'm running V1.51.

I had that with a bad board on my Big Boy. All it did was run full speed
Its running perfect now though, I'll keep a eye on it.
Whew! I though this was about forum members!

It sounds as though the Legacy signal stopped for some reason. It wouldn't hurt to check that the signal wire from the base to the track is firmly connected and making good contact. It's possible that this may have been disturbed when performing the upgrade.
I don't think the Legacy signal stopped, as this usually results in the engine stopping in it's tracks. Sounds more like something electronic locked up in the engine.
When a command signal is lost TMCC will shut down, DCS will continue to run (You decide which is better)
I know that I have strange ideas at times, but he said engines in the multiple sense. My thinking was that they believed that they were not under Legacy control, and so went into conventional mode warp speed on full track power. So I thought that there would be no harm in double-checking the connections.
Nicole: You are right to suggest that the simplist things be checked first. A loose/intermitant connection can play havoc with electronics and frustrate someone trying to find a fault. Start at the beginning and move step by step to the end, and you will usually find the cause and then be able to decide on a correction. Dennis M.
