Hi All,

I thought I'd share a few pictures of my recently finished scratch-built Western Store.

The footprint is 3" wide by 5" long (12 x 20 scale feet).  The walls are scribed basswood that have been stained with Polly Scale washes. The front of the building was painted with various craft store colors. The tar paper roofing is very fine sandpaper that was painted and dusted with chalks. Window, door, and smokestack are by Grandt Line.

Critique and comments are welcome.

Although I'm not an exacting craftsman (like yourself), Leon, your building is very cool. I'm guessing this would be a circa early-20th century building in most places, but there are locations I've seen where buildings like this lasted into the 70s and beyond. Are you going to name it and put some stuff into the interior? Thanks for sharing this project.

Thanks Virginian65. I am considering adding signage at some point, just haven't come up with a name yet. No interior on this one. I didn't plan ahead for that, so there's way too much framing/bracing going on inside to pull it off.
