Hey Malcomb ,
Archer Transfers makes great rivets on decal paper , I am not very skilled so Iused the rivets they offer when I made masters for hy-cubes . All you have to do is shoot the styrene with Testors glosscoat and then apply and use decal setting solution .All the rivets in the 2 photos were done this way.

This is why I have a nice small variable speed drill press in my shop with a dedicated lamp right next to it.
Still, it does get tedious inserting nbw's, etc and periodically watching one every so ofter fly off into space. Good to have some nice calming background music on like Eno's Neroli......
You dang rivet counters
Martin, Last night while I was drilling the holes I was listening to Three Dog Night! After that I went to some classical overtures. Of those William Tell & the 1812 are my favorites. Tonight the soundtrack from "Oklahoma" is up.
Malcolm
If you didn't enjoy it you wouldn't be doing it. Nice looking build.

Good stuff those overtures that I'll get distracted by, start actively listening to, and lose concentration....
Then again, I've been known to also put on all 5 hours of the Deep Purple Made in Japan concerts when I really want to get something done w/o being disturbed........ok, more disturbed,

There is a distinct possibility the riveters banged away to Black Sabbath or early Grand Funk. No guesses on the consequences....

You make it look easy Malcolm...great job.
Goodness Gracious!
A whole lot of work, though beautiful and worth it.

I'm not sure which aspect impresses me more--that Malcolm had the patience to drill all of those holes, or that he had the patience to count every one....

Try ELP's "Karn Evil 9"..."Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends."
I just finished using a sheet of Archer decals. THEY are EXPENSIVE!!! But they look so good. I am building 2 Plastruct Warren Truss bridges and am using those on the spans.
