I have the version with hi-rail wheels. It is a very good looking and operates flawlessly. Like most MTH dual motored diesels, it will likely pull more than you'll ever throw at it.
PS3 doesn't sound as good as Legacy, but the sound set is very good. It sounds pretty close to a GP-38-2. The PFA isn't great, but few are.
I have the CNW versions with scale wheels. They look and sound great, especially the throttle-up/throttle down sounds. MTH also nailed the paint/configuration (Operation Lifesaver w/o dynamic brakes.) Haven't done the PFA sounds as I rarely use them. They're a little shorter than my U25's so they bobble a bit going through Ross three-rail turnouts. They also operate well in a two and three-unit consist. I'd say go for it. If your track is rough or you have curve-replacement turnouts, the hi-rail wheelsets are probably a good idea.
