I'm helping an older collector downsize his slide collection a bit. I came upon a box of about 150 original Kodachrome slides of Nickel Plate Berkshires working the Fort Wayne IN area in the winter and spring of 1958; some of their last months in service. Have been posting them on Ebay but figured I'd share a few for you steam guys. What a moment in railroad history...

I;m going to have a table at the O Scale show in Kirtland OH November 4th. I'll have the aforementioned NKP shots, lots of 1960's New York Central passenger and freight, B&O/C&O, DT&I, and other interesting vintage Kodachromes. Be sure to stop by!

They still look quite competent, particularly that billowing plume of white steam !
